The Murray Hill School building, which contains the Galleries, was originally built in 1907. The larger addition which contains the Condominiums was built in 1916 as an elementary school. By 1987, the Murray Hill Company acquired, preserved, and re-purposed these two buildings as well as a brick church on site. Bucchieri Architects designed and constructed the renovations.

The condominiums are accessible from Murray Hill Road, Paul Avenue, and Random Road, while the commercial spaces face Murray Hill Road. The complex is conveniently located in walking distance from University Circle, including  Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals, the Cleveland Museum of ArtMuseum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, The Cleveland  Orchestra, the Cleveland Institute of Art, the Cleveland Institute of Music,  and the Cleveland Botanical Garden. Public transportation stops are close-by and include the RTA HealthLine, Red Line Rapid, and buses 7, 9, 32, 38, 48/48A. In August of 2015, a new Little Italy RTA Red Line Station opened 750 feet from the Murray Hill Condominium building with direct access to downtown and Hopkins Airport.
